"Ultimate Neil"  and Diamond Fans Backstage, Utah, 2005.
"Eleven great examples of why I love singing Neil Diamond songs!"

A Personal Note From David Sherry

As I'm apt  to say on stage, "I'd like to step out of my Neil Diamond persona for just a moment and say hello.  My name is David Sherry and  I am NOT a Neil Diamond impersonator---I'm a Neil Diamond fan.  OK, that's what they like to call us in Las Vegas.  But I have always considered myself more of an impressionist or a tribute artist and, like I said, I am first and foremost, a big Neil Diamond fan!

It all happened when I bought my first 45 in the summer of 1969 and that record, "Sweet Caroline." went on to become a smash hit changing Neil Diamond's life by making him a household word.  In a lot of ways that song changed my life too.  I remember rushing home and listening to that record again and again as I watched it spin round and round and I became mesmorized by the sound of Neil Diamond's voice, his passion and his soul.  It was the first time I realized the power of a song and the ability of a song to make me feel.

A year later, just days before my 14th birthday, I saw my first rock concert in my hometown of Detroit.  And yes, it was a Neil Diamond concert.  It was in his early days before his huge band but, just the same, a moment that stands out as great and one I will never forget.   Just a handful of people including Randy Sterling on bass, Carol Hunter on guitar and the soon to be legendary Neil Diamond.  I walked out of that show hooked and became a life-long fan.  I was positive that some day he would be considered a superstar.

That's why I call my tribute show, Diamond Is Forever! because I believe that the music of Neil Diamond will live on forever in the hearts of his fans and those still to come.

"I have recently met and become friends with an artist, David J. Sherry, who does a Neil Diamond Tribute show that is phenomenal! I have seen a lot of Neil Diamond imitators and copycats but this guy is fantastic. A true Tribute Artist! I went to see his show and, honestly, was taken back to the 1969-1972 years I toured and recorded with Neil ... He was that good.  Check him out!
